Mikael Granlund’s Amazing Goal vs Russia
In the 2010 NHL draft the Minnesota Wild selected Mikael Granlund, a 5′ 10″ left winger from Oulu, Finland. The now nineteen year old had one of the most jaw dropping goals in recent memory. Granlund went behind the back of the net, lifted the puck onto his stick, and simply threw the puck into the back of the net. The move looked like something that you would see in a lacrosse game or maybe a NHL All-Star game. It’s simply amazing to see a move like this in a live action hockey game.
