Vikings sign third round pick Robinson
Just a day before they report to Mankato, Minnesota for training camp the Vikings have finally signed third round draft pick Josh Robinson.
Robinson skipped his senior year at UCF and was picked by the Vikings in the third round with the 66th overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft. The defensive back and kick/punt returner notched the fastest 40 yard dash time at the combine, at 4.33 seconds.
Robinson finished his junior season at Central Florida appearing in nine games while recording two interceptions. In his college career his played in a total of 35 games while recording 10 interceptions. The 5’10 corner will add speed to the Vikings defensive backfield
Looking forward the Vikings have only Matt Kalil, the prized left tackle the Vikings coveted, left to sign. Matt Kalil was taken 4th overall – acquired after the Vikings made a trade with the Browns.
Rick Spielman expects all players to be in attendance once training camp get underway.
